But if Tata wants to adopt a coupe like design in the Tata Curvv for the Indian market, is that a feat or a professional compromise?
26 November 2024 00:25
But like so many others, I’ll hold judgment until I sit in one. Remember photos can be deceiving – perhaps Tata's engineers are adept at folding up space despite what the coupe like roof may suggest. That would be revolutionary if they've pulled it off.
Can the Tata Nexon CNG be a game changer for the eco-conscious SUV lover?
04 November 2024 23:19
Absolutely! Nexon CNG is a total game changer. It's taking eco tech to the SUV segment and, crucially, without the range anxiety of EVs. CNG is also much cheaper than petrol, which is a win win for your wallet and ultimately, your planet.
Is Nexon’s infotainment system as hyped as it seems in 2024?
13 December 2024 00:37
Look, in 2024, it's mediocre at best. The problem with the Surface line is that, other than a convertible form factor, there's very little that the separate presentation of the Surface line offers over other brands that are offering much more advanced systems, with better graphics, faster processors, and more features. This needs a major overhaul if Tata wants to stay in the infotainment game.
Is the Nexon CNG fuel efficient for long-distance traveling?
09 November 2024 20:05
That just depends on where you’re traveling. It’s doable if you’re sticking to major highways and cities. However, you couldn't flick a switch and constantly be on the edge of running out of fuel for off the beaten path adventures.
Possibly, a unique styling will help or hurt the resale value of the Curvv in the long run.
07 November 2024 05:41
There's no way to cut it, it will tank the resale value. Trendy designs age poorly. If you are old enough, I am sure you remember all those "futuristic" cars in the beginning of 2000's that look ridiculous now. The Curvv, however, might be on the same path.
Is Tata’s Curvv EV coupe design practical for Indian families?
19 November 2024 05:22
First off, who is the person buying this car that will actually be doing family road trips? Come on, let’s be real, most people aren’t. It's plenty practical for that purpose. But maybe it’s also more parking friendly, especially in tight spaces, than bigger SUVs.
Are all units of the Nexon built to the same high quality?
29 November 2024 09:51
I feel people are being too harsh on Tata, I can see positive things he has been trying to do for the team. There are some inconsistencies with it, but it’s a lot better than it was. Most of my friends who have one agree with me about how well it’s put together. It isn’t perfect, but for the price it’s pretty competitive.
When it comes to the value for money the 2024 Honda Amaze has against its rivals?
08 November 2024 04:02
'We are happy with the Dzire's reliability, but for the price, it doesn't provide too many more features than accomplished competitors like the Dzire.' It’s hard to ignore that!"
In India, how will the maintenance cost of the Tata Curvv EV differ from usual ICE vehicles?
02 December 2024 17:03
Initially, the cost of maintaining EVs might even be higher just because there are less people trained in being EV mechanics. Berback: ‘Over time, as EVs become ubiquitous and more folks learn that they can work on them, the costs should start coming down.’
How does Nexon EV’s battery stack up against the Indian weather?
18 November 2024 21:39
I do believe Tata could have done a slightly better job with the thermal management system. You can definitely feel the power drop on really hot days or very quickly on hot days, which I suspect is because the battery heats up so quickly. It’s not terrible by any means, it’s noticeable. On this one, they should take a page out of Tesla's book.
Should we wait for facelift version of the Honda Amaze to buy one?
23 November 2024 20:08
"Exactly! "Waiting may be wise if you’re looking for something more directly related like better safety features or whatever tech upgrades are being promised.'"
When driving at a long distance, how does the Nexon ride?
04 November 2024 22:10
I am not into long drives, but I have to say that I've taken a couple 500+ km trips in my Nexon and it was quite comfortable. The seats are supportive, with the exception of a few small bumps that the suspension sorks up nicely. Stability around highway is good, but on twisty roads you are aware of some body roll.
What are the most common concerns that the 2024 Honda Amaze owners have?
18 December 2024 12:00
For the most part, though, most concerns seem manageable… It’s just important to know what you’re getting into before buying! ---
Are we starting to find the Nexon’s design dated?
03 November 2024 16:28
It's actually gotten a little bit dated. The basics are in place, but there’s a little something 2018 about some of the accessories. The front grille needs updating and the rear end may have to be sharpened in order for Tata to keep up with rival designs.
Will India's Tata Curvv EV price itself to ruin its resale value?
01 December 2024 09:45
I think it will hurt resale in the short term but help in the long term. People will initially be skittish, but as the unique EV designs come to market, the Curvv will have a legion of followers that will celebrate the boldness and uniqueness that got the brand here in the first place.
Has Tata put the new Nexon on a diet in pursuit of a better nose?
19 November 2024 04:27
I think people are making a bigger deal out of it than it is. It is a bit firmer yes, but it also means better handling. It’s a more modern, European style setup. You can't have your cake and eat it, either you want a comfortable ride or better dynamics.
Is Nexon EV safe as its ICE counterpart?
11 November 2024 23:02
What I will say is that, as an engineer, I think the safety concerns are overblown. Today’s modern EVs are safety designed. The battery of the new Nexon EV is designed as multiple safety systems to prevent the problems as such in the event of a crash. You could also say that it’s even safer because there’s no flammable fuel.
Can the Curvv's infotainment system compete with what Hyundai and Kia have already rolled out?
08 November 2024 08:53
Do you think it’s all of these touchscreens are overkill? Are you the only one? I’d take physical climate control and basic functions buttons any day. That is, the Curvv's system is fine in that sense – it does what it needs to do without being too distracting.
Does the Nexon CNG mean compromising with boot space?
07 November 2024 00:32
This isn’t great, but it’s a fair split of the coin for the fuel savings. In reality, most people don’t even use their entire boot capacity on a regular basis. However, you will always have the option of using a roof carrier for the occasional big shopping trip or vacation.
Will the typical SUV buyer find Nexon CNG to be sufficient?
09 November 2024 04:17
I’ve driven CNG cars before, and they really aren’t that bad—people make them out to be worse than they are. There is a minute about power loss but it is so little in the way you drive the car daily. Most buyers will be perfectly happy with the Nexon CNG, I think.
