I am little bit confused among the 125cc bikes - Honda CB Shine and Yamaha Saluto?
29 December 2022 05:52
The better bike for your budget and long term use is the Honda CB Shine. The bike comes with a 124.7 cc engine, producing 10.12 BHP @ 7,500 rpm and 10.54 NM @ 5,500 rpm. The power values of Shine are much better than Saluto's figures, making it more powerful and comfortable to ride. More BHP makes your top speed more whereas more torque increases the weight carrying capacity. With these values, two persons on a bike can ride more smoothly than the Yamaha Saluto's values. Shine gets a 4-speed gearbox and comes with an option of CBS(Combi Braking System), making it more practical and safe to use. It comes with a price tag of INR 55,559.

The production of Honda Twister has been stopped and the only Twisters available would be the ones left in the showrooms for sale. Most of the dealers have cleared their inventories and this would mean very few chances of getting a new one. The better option would be the new Honda Livo, a successor to the Twister with better running dynamics and design. It comes with the same 109.19 cc engine as the Twister and also gets the same 4-speed transmission. The new things include a CB Trigger and Unicorn inspired design, better front design with a longer windshield and attractive new colors. It gets a price tag of INR 52,989-55,489.

What is the mileage for the Honda CB Hornet 160R?
29 December 2022 05:52
Honda CB Hornet has been displayed at the Honda Revfest and the bike comes with few differentiations from other Honda products in the segment. The bike comes with a sport oriented design whereas all the Honda bikes of the segment are commuter based with lesser detail on the design factor. Hornet gets a sport oriented small exhaust, which normally is a long cylindrical unit in most of the bikes. The alloy wheel design is quiet impressive as all other get a 6 spoke simple alloy design. The bike is expected with the same engine as the Honda Unicorn 160, with little chances of it being a further tuned unit. Mileage figure would be totally dependent on the engine tuning and the expectations are close to 40-45 kmpl.

Which sports bike should I buy - Honda CBR250R or KTM RC 200?
29 December 2022 05:52
Both the bikes are from totally different riding styles, making them best for their respective needs. Honda CBR250R is a great tourer, with sport biking feel and comfortable driving experience. The bike weighs 167 kg, making it quiet heavy for a 249 cc bike but also favors high speed riding. The drawback comes in the form of less sharp cornering and turning facilities. On the other hand, the RC200, being a 199.5 cc bike is quiet responsive due to its lightweight and sport oriented design. It has nothing to do with touring as track is its favorite place of riding. The seating is quiet uncomfortable for long routes, making it a short ride machine. It comes with sharp handling and cornering abilities. High speed riding, touring and decent amount of mileage is favored by CBR250R and you should only choose RC200 if you are willing to have a track ride every weekend or more often.

Both the competitor bikes come with a semi faired design, which do not benefit the bikes as only the weight gets raised. The Discover produces 11.3 BHP and 10.80 NM of torque, making it better in acceleration and top speed due to its 118 kg of weight. Which one is better - Honda CB Unicorn 160 or TVS Apache RTR 160?
29 December 2022 05:54
Choose Unicorn for low maintenance, better and widespread service network and easy availability of parts. Choose Apache for sheer performance and looks. Unicorn comes with a 'combi-brakes' variant which helps as both brakes area applied together, whether you apply one or both. Also, in this variant both are disc brakes. Apache 160 too has a dual-disc version. A pity they have limited the ABS to 180 version because that would have made a huge difference. In terms of pickup, speed and cornering, Apache is miles ahead of the Unicorn which is a commuter at heart, albeit one that can be used as a tourer over relatively shorter distances. Honda is always stellar in terms of quality and electrical, even the switchgear is great and doesn't look tacky. One thing that goes against TVS is those shitty TVS tyres. If you change those to MRF or Ceat or Bridgestone, that makes for a fantastic bike.

It comes with an approximate on-road price tag of INR 60,000.

Can I replace the rear tyre of my Honda CB Twister?
12 September 2023 05:13
The rear tyre can be replaced by a bigger tyre but it will affect the mileage of the bike and also the warranty of the bike will be void due to the modification to one of its part. The tyre size of the bike is no doubt visually quite small but provides a nice and required amount of grip to the rider. Even if willing to change it by going against the warranty, take car that the width of the tyre stays within the swingarm limits and do not change the positioning of swingarm in order to get a bigger tyre. You can safely go upto 100 section tyre as it will fit within the described limits.
I am confused between Hero Splendor PRO and Honda Dream Yuga, which bike should I purchase?
29 December 2022 05:51
Honda Dream Yuga is a better option over the Splendor Pro as it comes with an effective price for more style, features and peace of mind. The bike comes with a 109.19 cc engine, producing 8.25 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 8.63 NM @ 5500 rpm. The transmission stays to be a 4-speed unit on the motorcycle. It comes with better curves and sticker job as Splendor looks more simple when compared to the Dream Yuga. The bike starts at a price of INR 44,085 whereas the top variant can be bought for INR 50,936. The bike lacks the option for a disc brake and comes with 130 mm of drum brakes for both the wheels. Dream Yuga has a better engine for sure, gets better styling and is price effective also, making it an ideal choice for your new bike.

The expected engine being the 162.71 cc, 1-cylinder motor is expected to produce the same power figures, 14.5 BHP and 14.61 NM. The midship exhaust and the street bike look would be the all new feel from the Honda lineup as all the previous bikes are more commuter focused. The bike will get a rear disc brake and the tail light design is one of its kind. The chiseled tank makes it look better than many in the segment and we expect it to be priced for INR 80,000.
