Yezdi Roadster Dark
About
The Yezdi Roadster is a modern-classic motorcycle that blends retro styling with contemporary features. Powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, it produces 29.29bhp of power and 29Nm of torque, making it quite potent for its class. The bike features a full-LED headlamp and tail lamp, dual-channel ABS, hazard lights, and a fully-digital instrument cluster, which adds to its modern appeal. The riding posture is upright and comfortable, thanks to the low and wide handlebar and center-set footpegs. The suspension setup, while not perfect, handles minor undulations well, though it can feel a bit harsh over rough surfaces. The Roadster also stands out with its sharp brakes and decent slow-speed handling, making it a viable option for both city rides and highway cruising. However, it lacks the visual distinctiveness of its siblings, the Scrambler and Adventure, and the overall build quality needs improvement. Despite these flaws, the Yezdi Roadster remains an attractive choice for those seeking a stylish and performance-oriented motorcycle.

Yezdi Roadster Dark: Pros & Cons

- Comfortable for Long Rides
Cons

Our take on this /// Verdict
The Yezdi Roadster is a mixed bag that offers both compelling and disappointing aspects. On the positive side, it boasts a punchy 334cc single-cylinder engine that delivers brisk acceleration and a rev-happy nature, making it fun to ride, especially for those who enjoy spirited driving. The bike also features sharp brakes with a good balance of bite and progression, and its accessible seat height of 790mm makes it friendly for shorter riders. However, the fit and finish are subpar, with noticeable inconsistencies in the switchgear and poor weld quality, which does not justify its retail price. The ride quality, while not bad, could be improved, particularly the rear suspension which feels a bit too soft. Overall, if you are looking for a cool-looking, modern-classic bike with a rich brand heritage and are willing to live with some niggles, the Yezdi Roadster could be a consideration, but it is not yet ready to outshine its rivals.
Price
The Yezdi Roadster is priced competitively in the Indian market, with an ex-showroom price starting around 2.05 lakh. However, the on-road price can vary depending on the state and local taxes, typically ranging between 2.40 lakh to 2.60 lakh. While the pricing is attractive, especially considering the performance and features it offers, the lackluster fit and finish and some ergonomic issues might make some buyers hesitant. As someone who has reviewed several bikes, I believe the price is reasonable for what you get, but its crucial to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision.
Yezdi Roadster Dark on road price is Rs 2.37 lakh in Delhi, Rs 2.45 lakh in Mumbai, Rs 2.40 lakh in Kolkata and Rs 2.43 lakh in Chennai. The prices mentioned here are approximate and we suggest you contact your nearest Yezdi dealership to get the exact on-road price quote in your city.
Latest Updates
Wednesday, 17 July 2024 12:09 PM
The Yezdi Roadster has been updated with a Trail Pack that includes accessories such as saddle bags, visor, headlight grille, bike cover, and a pillion backrest, all worth Rs 16,000, offered free for a limited period. This move is aimed at enhancing the bikes appeal and utility. I think this is a great way to add value to the purchase, making it more attractive to potential buyers.

Yezdi has introduced ergonomic updates to the Roadster, including forward-set pegs and a taller handlebar, aimed at providing a more relaxed riding position based on customer feedback. However, the older version without these changes will also be available, giving customers a choice. I believe this flexibility will help in appealing to a broader range of riders.
Wednesday, 10 May 2023 05:48 PM
The 2023 Yezdi Roadster has been updated to comply with BS6 (OBD2) regulations and features reworked engine components. The bike also comes with a larger rear sprocket to enhance low-end performance and redesigned mufflers for a revised exhaust note. I think these updates are crucial for maintaining the bikes performance and environmental compliance.
Friday, 14 January 2022 04:50 AM
The Yezdi Roadster is available in multiple variants, including Dual Tone, Chrome, and Dark, each with several color options. The prices range from Rs 2.06 lakh to Rs 2.12 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike features a fully digital instrument panel, clear LED indicators, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. I believe the variety in colors and variants makes the Roadster appealing to different tastes and preferences.
Friday, 14 January 2022 01:13 PM
The Yezdi Roadster boasts a 334cc engine producing 29.5PS and 28.9Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It also features a fully digital instrument cluster, hazard lights, and dual-channel ABS. The bikes minimal bodywork and neo-retro design are notable highlights. I think the combination of power and features makes it a strong contender in its segment.
Mileage
Monday, 18 November 2024 12:26 PM
The mileage of the Yezdi Roadster is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers, and it generally delivers a respectable figure. With its 334cc engine, the bike is expected to provide around 30-35 kmpl in city riding conditions and up to 40 kmpl on the highway, depending on the riding style and road conditions. While these numbers are not exceptional, they are competitive within its segment. The bikes fuel efficiency is further aided by its 12.5-litre fuel tank, which provides a decent range before needing a refill. However, real-world mileage can vary, and its always a good idea to test ride the bike under your typical riding conditions to get a better estimate. Ex Showroom Price vs On Road Price | Ex-Showroom Price is the Manufacturing Cost of the vehicle + Dealer/Seller Profit + GST (Goods and Service Tax) + Transportation Charges (from the manufacturing plant to the dealership). On the other hand, the On-Road Price is the actual cost you pay to the dealership to make the vehicle legal to run on the roads. It includes Ex-Showroom Price in your city + RTO Charges (Vehicle Registration) + One Time Road Tax + Insurance Charges. The On-Road Price also includes some optional things like if you opt for Genuine Accessories and Extended Warranty while buying a vehicle. Please note that the On-Road Price varies a lot across different states in India due to different percentage for the State Registration Charges. |

The Best Bike in It's Segment

Just go for it guys. Trust me this bike stands out in the public. People look at it continously and yes after first service the milage improves and the heating before 1000 km almost decreases. The bike became much smoother after first service. I own a green colour one. :)
Best Features: The power is the best. You will get adrenaline rush while riding this beast
Pros: The power, the feel of riding, handling and its accurate speedometer. This bike is so good in each and every segment
Cons: People can say that it has less service center but in reality it has almost similar service center compared to Royal Enfield
