This bike is perfectly street legal to sell and any Yamaha dealer can buy this bike. They actually have a new model called RX Saluto. Dimensions are small like the original. However it features a four stroke 100cc engine instead of the torque induced two stroke engine of the original.

First and most importantly get a well calibrated expansion chamber for your exhaust system to maintain good back pressure in the combustion chamber. Clean your carbs regularly and use a good air filter. Lube your bike chain and all the moving parts.

If your bike is in a very good condition then yes you can ride for as long as you can. But if it breaks down occasionally and has engine heating issues, then i suggest you keep it for basic city usage and go for a new bike just for touring purposes.

The Yamaha RX 135 is a better bike than the RX 100. Both the bikes were made with the same underpinnings and shared most of the parts and had excellent running dynamics. The Yamaha RX 135 was a successor of the RX 100, making more power and torque than the older one. It came with a 5-speed gearbox, 14 BHP and 12.25 NM of torque. The RX 100 on the other hand had 4-speed transmission and very light weight. The difference in their weights was 10 kg and the engines in both the bikes were air cooled 2 stroke motors. RX 135 has bigger wheels and a better top speed of 110 kmph over the 100 kmph of the RX 100.

The Yamaha RX100 accessories are out of the list from most of the after market shops as the originals have stopped being produced a long way back. The custom accessories are readily available whereas it is rare if you get a new one in the market. The fuel tank can only be taken from some other RX100, which should be good in condition but will surely require a repaint. The carburetor would not be available as the stock one, but you will easily get a closely related carburetor from a aftermarket shop. The scarcity of the spare parts have lead to the heavy charges by mechanics and you should try to find the part yourself to save up to half the money being charged by mechanics. The cost is most of the times dependent on the seller as the part is mostly used one. Try to keep the budget as low as possible as spending on a vehicle is not always profitable at the end.

The Yamaha RXZ is a better bike than Yamaha RX 100. The RXZ features a 132 cc, 2 stroke engine, producing 14 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 12 NM @ 6500 rpm. The bike was known for its quick acceleration and light weight design. It even comes with a disc brake and the seat height was quite feasible for short riders also. It returned a 35 kmpl mileage with a top speed of 120 kmph at that time.
