The choice between the Kawasaki KLX230RS and the Kawasaki KX112 depends on several factors, including your riding needs, budget, and preferences. The KLX230RS, priced at Rs. 5.21 lakh, offers a more powerful 233 cc, 4-stroke single engine producing 19.57 bhp @ 8000 rpm, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a larger 6.6 litres fuel tank. It is designed for off-road capabilities with a higher ground clearance of 275 mm and a seat height of 900 mm. However, it provides a lower mileage of 14 kmpl compared to the KX112. The Kawasaki KX112, priced at Rs. 4.88 lakh, features a smaller 112 cc, 2-stroke engine, a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 5 litres fuel tank. It offers better fuel efficiency with a mileage of 24.18 kmpl but has less power and a lower seat height of 870 mm. Why are the prices of dirt bikes like Kawasaki KLX110 very high in India?
02 January 2023 06:47
Kawasaki KLX and any other dirt bike from Japanese manufacturers are expensive in India as they are imported as CBU's to the country. Not just this one, even Suzuki's off-road quad bikes are quite expensive as compared to their engine sizes and international pricing. The KLX 110 is powered by a 112 cc, 4-stroke motor producing 7.2 BHP and 8 Nm of torque. It weighs just 76 kg, thereby being around 40 kg lighter than a conventional bike with same engine size. It can be bought in India for INR 2,80,000.
