Hero Duet Electric can be launched anytime by Hero MotoCorp while there is no exact competition in the Indian market as no other scooter would be offered with petrol motor as well as electric motor option. The 5KV motor on the Duet is good for a 0-60 kmph time of just 6.5 seconds, producing 14 Nm of torque from standstill. All of the dimensional values remain same as the petrol duet except the weight of the scooter and its price, which has not yet been hinted by the company.

The LX on the other hand can be bought for an on-road price of 52,475. The LX variant misses on the mobile charging port as well as the boot light being available with the higher variant. Even the telescopic suspension is only available on the VX variant of Hero Duet. It returns a mileage of around 45 kmpl and a top speed of 85 kmph.

It comes with an all new engine developed by Hero. The motor is a 111 cc, air cooled unit producing 8.4 BHP @ 7500 rpm and 9.4 NM @ 5750 rpm.
