General information and overview

The Yamaha Enticer 125 is a cruiser motorcycle that was popular in India during its production years. Powered by a 123.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, it produces 11 BHP at 8000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm. The bike features a 4-speed gearbox and can reach a top speed of around 112 kmph. Its design is one of its standout features, with a low rider profile, raised handlebars, and plenty of chrome accents that give it a stylish and aggressive look. The Enticer is known for its comfortable ride, thanks to its well-tuned suspension and ergonomic seating position. It also boasts a 12080-16 inch rear tyre, which adds to its stability at higher speeds. Although it has some limitations, such as the lack of modern features like a fuel meter and the heat issues with the air-cooled engine, the Enticer remains a beloved choice for those who value comfort, style, and a smooth riding experience.

Our Verdict

Expert opinion and recommendation

The Yamaha Enticer 125, although no longer in production, leaves a lasting impression on those who had the chance to own and ride it. This cruiser motorcycle was renowned for its stylish design, with raised handlebars and a low-slung profile that turned heads on the road. While its 125cc engine, producing 11 BHP at 8000 rpm, may not have been the most powerful, it was more than sufficient for a comfortable and smooth ride. The bikes handling was commendable, especially in city traffic, with a kerb weight of just 125 kg making it easy to maneuver. However, the lack of a fuel meter and gear indicator, along with the air-cooled engines tendency to heat up, were notable drawbacks. Despite these issues, the Enticers comfort, stability, and decent mileage made it a favorite among its owners. If youre considering a used Enticer, its a solid choice for those prioritizing comfort and a classic cruiser experience.

Pricing details and changes

When the Yamaha Enticer 125 was available in the Indian market, it was priced very competitively. The ex-showroom price in 2004 was around 50,000, which was significantly lower than many of its competitors, including the Bajaj Avenger. The on-road price, including all the necessary taxes and registration fees, would have been slightly higher but still very affordable. This pricing strategy was a key factor in the Enticers reasonable success during its production run. For those looking to purchase a used Enticer today, prices can vary widely depending on the condition and mileage of the bike, but it remains a budget-friendly option for those seeking a classic cruiser.

Mileage

Fuel efficiency information

The Yamaha Enticer 125 offers decent mileage, which is a crucial factor for many Indian buyers. It consistently delivers around 45 kmpl in city traffic and up to 54 kmpl on highways, making it a relatively fuel-efficient option despite being a cruiser. This mileage is quite satisfactory, especially considering the bikes focus on comfort and style rather than outright performance. For users concerned about running costs, the Enticers fuel efficiency is a significant advantage.

Summary

I am riding Yamaha Enticer since I got enrolled in college from last two years. My father didn't allowed me to ride this heavy machine as it belongs to him before me.
I am riding Yamaha Enticer since I got enrolled in college from last two years. My father didn't allowed me to ride this heavy machine as it belongs to him before me. My father has maintained this bike very well and I admired it too from the day we bought it. Even now when there are vast range of motorcycles are available in the market, I like my Enticer most. It seemed to keep me close to the beauty of past. It offers perfect seating posture and the seats are so comfy that you hardly experience any tiredness on long tours. Its heavy weight gives more control on speed and rough roads. Moreover, the foot pegs also provide perfect ride. Actually, it is designed to give a smooth ride which stand out of the way. Then comes mileage, it is not a fuel efficient motorcycle and one should not expect a good one from a cruiser bike. For me its fine, I can pay anything for smooth and classy ride. Mileage doesn't matter me. Yet if anyone wants to buy a used one with 15k mileage I would say ‘go for it’ because this is the bike that sure will last long.
