Maruti Suzuki India Limited which is called MSIL is short was formerly known as the Maruti Udyog Limited which was a subsidiary of the Suzuki Motor Corporation in Japan. Over two and half decades, the Maruti has been the leader of Indian car market. The MSIL has two manufacturing units located at Manesar and Gurgaon, south of New Delhi. Both the facilities have the capability of producing over 1.2 million vehicles annually.
The company also has plans to increases their production capacity by 2013. The Maruti car company offers a wide range of cars in various segments. There are about fifteen brands with over 150 variants. Adding to its achievements, Maruti was the only company in India to have sold one million cars in the year 2009 to 2010. The revenue of the company has grown consistently over the years, and the graph looks like it will still achieve new heights in its revenue in the years to come.
