Tata Venture is a B+ segment MUV and one of its kind minivan launched by Tata in 2011. It is made for family outdoor picnics and to carry heavy loads and has a classy yet simple look.
Tata Venture has a good looking exterior with full size large front windshield, edgy clear lens headlights, black colored front grille having a big Tata logo at center, long chrome lip and flat body panel, large front bumper with air-inlets, edgy lines and circular fog lights, body colored door handles and electrically adjustable ORVMs, large side doors, windows and body panels, 14-inch alloy wheels, vertical clear lens tail lights, square rear glass with rear wiper and large boot gate and thin body colored rear bumper with a set of reflective lights. It has a length of 3950mm, width of 1565mm and height of 1878mm as its dimension and has a wheelbase of 2100mm.
The interior of this minivan gives a premium look with its dual tone beige and linen colouring, fabric upholstery, leather covered steering wheel and gear knob, spacious seats with large space for head room, leg room, shoulder room and knee room and a seating capacity of five, seven and eight. For the full comfort of the passengers, it includes a powerful AC, front power windows, rear AC vents, power steering, vanity mirror, roof lamps, single pull double flip seat, adjustable front seats with adjustable headrests, digital clock and a mobile charger at roof. The minivan also has a beige colored spacious dashboard with integrated central console, analogue instrument console featuring a tachometer and two large glove boxes. It has a large boot capacity which can be extended further by folding the rear seats. The minivan is also equipped with a quality music system with CD player, MP3 player, FM Radio and four speakers to keep an entertaining environment.
Tata Venture has a powerful 1405cc 1.4L four-cylinder SOHC turbocharged diesel engine with a maximum power of 70 bhp at 4500 rpm and a maximum torque of 135 Nm at 2500 rpm and has a five speed manual gearbox transmission giving a top speed of 130 kmph and a mileage of 11 kmpl in the cities and 16 kmpl on the highways. For a real safe journey for the whole family, it includes key-less entry, engine immobilizer, front crash reinforcement, collapsible steering column, side impact protection beams, rear child lock, fog lamps, reverse guide system and heavy baggage handling capacity. It has disk brakes at front and hydraulic drum brakes at rear. The suspension system is an independent strut type anti-roll bar at front and multi-link with coil spring at rear. It has a ground clearance of 160mm to easily cross Indian roads potholes and a minimum turning radius of 4.5m makes city traffic cruising much more easily.
Tata Venture has three variants which are LX, EX and GX. It has five beautiful shades which are Glossy Black, Champagne Gold, Arctic White, Ivory White and Lunar Silver. It comes with a warranty of 2 years or 75000 kms whatever comes earlier. It has a price range of INR 4.57-5.34 lakhs (approx., may vary). Overall, this minivan does feel like a premium hatchback and offers comfort, space, performance, fuel economy, speed and robustness and is a good value for money car.
