Renault Fluence Diesel E2 Review

Renault India has launched its first vehicle after its disintegration from Mahindra and it is the brand new Renault Fluence with good looks and comfy drive which compete with other sedans of its segment such as Jetta, Civic, Cruze, Laura, etc... It has also launched a newer Fluence diesel variant E4 with brand new features like rain-sensing wipers, beige interiors, dual zone automatic climate control system and automatic headlights. Renault Fluence is a fine mix of style and comfort with pointed headlamps, a thin and narrow grille at the front bumper that fits smoothly into the bonnet with a wide air dam at the bumper's lower end. It also comes with a set of round fog-lamps and has an inclined roof-line that also has a radio antenna fitted into it. It also has petal-shaped tail lamps, key-less entry and push button engine start and the door handles are equipped with remote-controlled auto-lock and auto-unlock sensors.
For a long journey, it provides a huge comfort for every passenger with its front and rear AC vents and extraordinary music system which is a Bluetooth MP3 audio system with four speakers so that the driver can enjoy the comfort of hearing music and listens to any call without diverting his/her attention from the road and USB or AUX support in petrol variant. Also, the back seats can be adjusted at any angle which is an extra comfort not any vehicle can provide. Fluence is available in fuel efficient petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variant E4 comes with a 1997cc engine which generates a maximum power of 135 bhp and maximum torque of 190 Nm with a six speed automatic gearbox.
The diesel engine is a 1.5L four cylinder with four valves per cylinder and double overhead camshafts and is available in two variants in Fluence - E2 is a 1461cc diesel engine with a maximum power of 105 bhp and maximum torque of 240 Nm and E4 is also a 1461cc diesel engine with a maximum power of 108 bhp and maximum torque of 240 Nm and both these variants have six speed manual gearbox. It comes fully-loaded with a lot of safety features such as four SRS Airbags, EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), front ventilated and rear disk brakes, traction control, rear parking sensors and cruise control. It also has power windows, audio controls mounted power steering, digital speedometer and brand new 16-inch seven spoke alloy wheels.
It has a ground clearance of 170mm which gives a smooth riding experience on bumpy Indian roads and dimensions of 4618x1813x1488(LxWxH)mm gives it a notion of style with a little touch of a good sport. Renault Fluence comes in four distinctive shades which are Glacier White, Pearl Black, Ash Beige and Blue Ecume. Overall, Renault Fluence is a good mixture of space, boldness, comfort, performance and style in an economical price range of INR 1200000-1550000 (approx., may vary). It also comes with a warranty of two years or 80000 kms with also an extension of another two years on warranty period.
