Mahindra XUV500 Diesel W8 4x2 Review
Questions and Answers
User Reviews for Mahindra XUV500 (2016)
Well Designed Machine by Mahindra
Mahindra XUV500 is my companion from last two years and I never faced any issues with it yet. It is just made for a smooth and comfortable ride. It allows me to go over potholes without braking hard. Even it crosses speed breakers by lowering the speed to 30 without much fuss. All I want to say here is, XUV500 is meant for the bad roads of India. The interior space is a mixed bag; it depends on where you are seated as 1st and 2nd row have more legroom than the 3rd row. The space it provides is enough for 7 passengers but the third row is not meant for tall person. I have done many long tours on my XUV and never felt tired after such a long hectic drives because of its ease of drive and comfort. Riding it at 100+ speed is different fun one can have. There are lots of storage spaces in XUV. In the terms of mileage, I am getting anywhere from 11-12 kmpl in city roads and on highways I get 16-17 kmpl. The only problem I have faced yet is lack of boot space with 7 passenger.
Best Features: Appearance and Comfort
Pros: Spacious Cabin, Style, Comfort, Facilities
Cons: Lack of Boot Space (without spliting seats)
A True Winner
The Mahindra XUV500 is an attractive package, providing value to buyers with its powerful engine and long equipment list. It's design is a mixed bag, but I like the overall design. The tail lamp is powerful and looks different at night, even from a distance. There are lots of storage spaces in this SUV and specifically above the centre console which I like the most. Because it is easy to keep parking tickets. Mahindra has done an extremely good job, as far as handling is concerned. There is minimal body roll, even at high speeds. It has great pickup and suspension is also equally good. It has got seating capacity of seven people and is very spacious and comfortable from inside. The six speed manual transmission is little bit notchy and the gears don't reassuringly slot in place, which spoils the whole driving experience a bit. Despite its amazing power output and high kerb weight, it returned a respectable fuel efficiency figure of 12.5 km/l.
Best Features: Powerful Engine
Pros: Decent handling, spacious interiors, powerful engine, aggressive styling
Cons: Notchy gear shifts
Mahindra XUV500 Diesel W8 4x2 Discussion
I had a confusion with SKODA YETI-ambition & mahindra XUV500-W8 4x2...please help me guyz ...which one is best ?........///
Yes, Exactly dat front suspension noise in xuv500 and its cheap
plz be careful, the worst service and its a manufactural defect its about 60 % in all xuv 500
Damn good in safety n comfort wen I compared with endeavour, captiva, duster , fortuner n crv ..........
So, I bought this XUV 500, W8 FWD in July 2012. Now, the car
has 1100 kms and already got problems with suspension, and there was noise
inside the cabin. First, I tried to book an appointment and that took 2 days. I
received several calls and SMSes telling me the name of my relationship
manager. So, I tried to call him on Saturday, and he told me someone will call
me back in few mins, this never happened, I called him few times and he always
told me that. So, that day, I didn’t manage to get appointment. I called him again
next Monday morning, and he passed me onto someone and I finally got the
appointment next day. I brought the vehicle next morning, the supervisor told
me I will get the car same day evening, I called in the evening, he told me, he
will deliver the car next day. Next day, I called him in the afternoon, he said
my vehicle is ready and I can pick it up, I went there, he asked for 5 mins. Of
time which is always 15 mins. After that, he brought the paper to cashier, and
cashier was not there, this again took 20 mins. The cashier spotted something
was missing, the supervisor tried to close the case but he did some mistake. He
was asking me for another 20 mins ( which would mean at least an hour) and I had
enough of it. I left. No one called me that day. I sent an email to customer
care and xuv sales department, next day, my relationship manager called and
told me he will fix the vehicle and send across the same day and also, that
while taking the vehicle out of car shower, they were putting a dent and he
will also fix that. I called the manager in the evening, he told me my vehicle
is ready and I can come and pick it up, I told him I will never visit workshop,
he should send it over unless he wants to keep it, he said he will get back to
me. He never picked up his phone after that. Today, I sent an email again to
the customer care and xuv sales, the supervisor called me in the morning and
told me he will deliver the vehicle before 5 pm, I asked him if I have to call
him again or follow to which he said no, I don’t have to. And on top of it, he
told the vehicle is still not fixed, he got the part and he will fix it today.
Now, there is no sign and it’s 4th day, my car is laying in their
workshop, taking car shower and resting, because I was driving it too much. Can
you imagine? Would you still like to buy a car that has already problem with in
the first month of purchasing and it takes more than 4 days to repair it and
even no one is answerable or care about how many days it takes. People – go ahead
and buy another company vehicle, my previous experiences with Tata, Ford,
Hyundai and Chevrolet, no matter how big the problem was, the vehicle was
delivered the same day and it was ready when they called me, I just needed to
pay and drive. So, you pay more than 15 lacs to test this vehicle, and you
spend your time bringing the car to workshop, and when they tell you it’s
ready, and you go there to pick up and find out it’s not ready. So, in all, it’s
a big loss to buy this car, first you spend so much money in buying, second you
spend your time testing this car, third, you spend time in repairing it,
fourth, most of the time, this car is going to be in garage. Imagine, within one
month, it’s 4 days in workshop and I am still counting and that too, after two
emails to customer care. My Advice, just don’t buy it, if you do buy, ask for
money to test it, that your time is more precious than this car that Mahindra
wants you to pay for testing.
damn gud car ds car has al d features + price bracket is gud enough.,,,,,,,,,,
Thats my next car by September 2012.I hope in 60 days from now the price does not go up again.
