Tuesday, January 26, 2010

Overview of Honda Brio

The Small Car Concept which was unveiled by Honda at the Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi, will be sold as 'Brio' in India and other countries. Honda India launched the much-awaited hatchback on 26th September, 2011 in Indian market, it was already on-sale in Thailand. Honda has priced Brio very comptitively at Rs. 3.95 lakhs for the base variant. The company also re-launched the Jazz recently with a price tag of 5.5 lakhs. It seems like Honda has become very aggressive and wants to capture decent share of small car market in India. Brio is available in four variants: E MT, S MT, S MT (option) and V MT. For the very first time Honda has not offered airbags, ABS and EBD in the base variant of their product to price the Brio competitively and grab the market share of popular Maruti and Hyundai hatchbacks. It seems like Honda has finally learned the market and pricing strategies from its rival companies. Honda Brio is a very good product and it will capture the small car market in this price range because there are a lot of Honda fans in India who want to own a Honda. With the launch of Brio more people can fulfil their dream to buy a Honda because Brio has got everything - low price, lots of features, it is a safe car, fuel efficient reliable engine, superb build quality, spacious interiors and trust of Honda.

Absolutely no regrets for buying the car.Was little worried earlier to experiment my first Indian car. Have always trusted Honda in US but did know how the Indian cars will be and that too on Indian roads. But after getting the delivery,it won't be incorrect to say Honda still keeps up its promise of making excellent cars. Feels great to own the car. Smooth drive with nice interiors, exteriors and features. Good job Honda.!!!!!

My earlier test drive was a showroom test drive. Yesterday I had a comprehensive test drive for over half hour. Fun car. I own a CIVIC and the Brio drive feels like a big car as good as CIVIC, need not be careful, like driving a CIVIC in city traffic. with a Kerb weight of 920 kgs, and a turning radius of 4.5 mtrs and 88 bhp peppy engine with an Arai certified mileage of 18.7 kmpl, it is the smartest package on road. The color red looks ravishing. Waiting for my car to be delivered.
