When driven under standard conditions, the Ecoboost engine has a capability to deliver about 20km/l, which is quite impressive.

The engines equipped with Ecoboost Technology are designed to deliver power and torque with lesser greenhouse gas emissions and a larger engine displacement. The 1.0 Ecoboost engine is a power train established and produced by Ford Motor Company, which comes with a 1.0L capacity and 3 cylinders. In 2013, it has been tried on Ford Fiesta and Ford Ecosport. This power train is ready to deliver 170 Nm of max torque at 1300-4500 rpm and 200 Nm on over-boost. It is totally made of cast Iron instead of Aluminum for up to 50% faster warmup.

It has been tested on Ford Fiesta. It is available in two power output versions, one is 65 bhp and the other is 80 bhp. The production of these advanced engine is expected to reach about 7,00,000-1,500,000 units this year.
