The newly designed Maruti Alto 800, has hit the Indian market and it is priced between Rs. 2,42,775 - Rs. 3,56,775, in the Delhi market.

As soon as this little car was launched, it broke all the sale records. Within one week, after its launch,  over 21,000 units were booked. It dates back in 1981, when Maruti Suzuki was established, when the giant automobile company Suzuki Motor Corporation joined the Indian company Maruti Udyog Limited. And after the sale of the flagship car 'Maruti 800' for  almost three decades, it got an amazing look, today which we known as 'Alto 800'.

This new avatar of Maruti 800, is available in 7 variants, having 4 petrol and 3 CNG powered models. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox and gives an unexpected fuel efficiency of 22.74 km/l, while the CNG model gives 30.46 km/l. The safety level is at the top, as it comes with powerful disc brakes for the front 2 wheels, collapsible steering column and driver airbags, available in the LXI model. It comes with a 796cc engine, which has a 3-cylinder and a 12-valve system. It has a well mileage and may be found competitive to Hyundai EON and Chevy Beat.
