Nissan first launched the petrol version of Sunny and then rolled out the diesel version in the 4th quarter of 2011. The petrol version comes packed with a 1.5L, engine, with 4 cylinders and this power train manages to deliver a max power of 100 PS and a peak torque of 134 Nm. It comes smartly mated with a manual 5-speed gearbox. This engine features the Japanese technology, which indeed promises great outputs and impressive acceleration figures. The engine doesn't weigh much and ensures a higher performance. This, of course, leads to more fuel efficiency.

The petrol cars is available in three variant, with different level of features. On the contrary, stands the diesel engine, which has a displacement power of 1461 cc and features the common rail injection system. The SOHC 8 valve engine delivers a high in class mileage of 21.64 km/l, which is good enough for the Indian mileage freaks. It also comes coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. All in all, Nissan Sunny is a great performer and it also comes in an automatic option. This variant costs about Rs.8,49,000*.
