Tell me Engine Specifications of Skoda Rapid?

Skoda Rapid comes equipped with the same 4 potted power-train, previously used in VW Vento. The sedan comes in the Car Bazaar on two different platforms-Petrol and Diesel. The Diesel variant is powered by 1.6 L TDi engine producing a massive power of 105 PS @ 4400 rpm and a peak torque of 250 Nm. The petrol variant delivers the same power, but at a higher rate. It follows the Bharat Stage IV norms, offering lesser emissions. Both the engines are 16 valved and are mated with 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. The turbocharged engine has a great performance and the insulation is quite impressive.

The gear shift is accurate and precise, but the gear ratio differs than that of Volkswagen Vento. The car offers a smooth driving and takes more better pick-up when grabbed in 3 passengers. This implies that the whole power lies in the middle and the diesel variant completely overshadows the petrol one, as it is more fuel efficient. The 1.6 L MPI Petrol engine mated with 6-speed automatic gearbox is a bit savvy and the ratios are nicely placed.
