Maruti Ertiga MUV is available in petrol as well as in diesel trim. The petrol motor is a 1.4 litre powertrain unit and the diesel engine is a 1.3 litre Multijet unit.

The petrol variant features a 1.4 litre k-Series unit of 1373cc displacement. This 4-cylinder unit is capable of generating max power output of 93.8 bhp and peak torque of 130 Nm. The diesel variants are powered by 1248cc, 16V, Multijet mill that churns out max power output of 88.8 bhp along with peak torque of 200 Nm. Maruti has equipped the Ertiga with variable valve timing (VVT) technology that maximizes the acceleration by ensuring maximum engine performance with maximum fuel consumption and lesser emissions.

For the safe and secure driving the Ertiga features ventilated disc brakes up at the front wheels and drum brakes at the rear wheels. Its suspension system is also pretty effective and efficient as the front suspension contains independent MacPherson struts whereas non-independent, torsion beams at rear suspension.
