Rumor has it that after Ray, Yamaha is now planning to train service mechanics for Nouvo as well. 20 such scooters were seen at the service centre which indicates that the company is considering the scooter to be launched in Indian market too. Nuovo look are not very attractive and looks rather weird and might fail to attract Indian bikers. The scooter carries 135cc engine in international market but the Indian version might feature a little small engine. The 135cc engine is made of DiASil, the die cast aluminum cylinder. In some markets the scooter is launched with 113cc engine too.
Nouvo is basically a moped scooter and features single-cylinder, 4-stroke SOHC engine that produces a peak power of 8 BHP at 8000 RPM and a maximum torque of 8.62 Nm at 7000 RPM. Nouvo weighs 108 kgs and features a front disc brake.
