Yamaha MT-25 Launched In Indonesia @ 46 Million Indonesian Rupiah (INR 2.2 Lakh)

Yamaha has launched an all-new naked roadster, 'Yamaha MT-25' in the Indonesian market. It has been offered at 46 Million Rupiah (approximately 2.2 Lakh in India). It is the fourth bike launched under MT series and it comes with a tagline of “It's the Lord of the Way". The company has set a target of 10,000 units to be sold in the first year. The company has also planned to export it to other countries including its homeland Japan from Indonesia.

Mechanically, Yamaha MT-25 comes equipped with 249cc 2-cylinder, parallel-twin, 8-valve, liquid-cooled engine that generates maximum power of 36PS at 12000 rpm and maximum torque of 22.6Nm at 10,000 rpm. It is the same unit of engine that does duty in YZF-R25. It is mated to 6-speed transmission. It rides on 110/70-17M/C front and 140/70-17M/C rear tyres with stopping power provided by single disc brakes at both the ends.

Measurement wise, it has a length of 2090mm, width of 745mm, height of 1035mm and wheelbase of 1380mm. It weighs at 165 kgs (wet) and the fuel tank capacity it holds is 14-litres. In the terms of style, it gets a diamond-shaped frame, headlight design inspired by MT series, Halogen headlamps and LED positioning light. The instrument cluster of the bikes support gear position, analog meter, fuel trip meter, average fuel, shift light, clock, fuel trip meter, odometer, neutral indicator, engine warning light, oil change indicator etc.
