Yamaha FZ and FZ-S Version 2.0 Fi Launched

Yamaha India has launched the two new upgraded version of its popular FZ series, dubbed as 'FZ Version 2.0' and 'FZ-S Version 2.0'. These two variants now adopted a new engine type and fuel injection to freshen up the appeal. Tweaks made in these bikes are both cosmetic and mechanical. Yamaha FZ is one of the most popular bike launched by Yamaha in its 150cc class. It has earned a name as most stylish and best looking motorbike mainly designed for the youth.

The outer looks of the new bikes is similar to previous models except the new headlights which is now more sharper and receives a little changes in its designing. There is a new rectangular instrument console available on both the bikes with new feature of Eco indicator. Some other new features hosted by these new models are split grabrails, rear tyre hugger, new taillight, split seat, side panels and new exhaust end can.

Mechanically, FZ version 2.0 bikes comes equipped with a 149cc engine that promises a 12.9 Bhp of maximum power and 12.8 Nm of torque which is quite less than previous model. Existing model of FZ delivers a power of 13.8 Bhp and torque of 13.6 Nm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with one gear down and 4-gear up shift pattern. Another adoption of these new models is fuel injection system. Yamaha has also included a new BlueCore Technology that improves the fuel efficiency. The company claims that, the performance of the bike is unaffected, it will ensure you around 15% better fuel efficiency.

These updated Yamaha bikes comes equipped with a disc brake at front and drum brake at rear. The company has priced the Yamaha FZ Version 2.0 Fi at Rs. 76,250 and 'FZ-S version-2.0 Fi' at Rs. 78,250 (both are the ex-showroom Delhi prices).
