Suzuki Gixxer 250 to be Unveiled at 2016 Indian Auto Expo

As per the latest buzz, Suzuki Motorcycle India is planning to introduce its 250cc sportsbike 'Gixxer 250' at the upcoming 'Delhi Auto Expo' which is going to held in February, 2016. We can also call it an upgraded version of Gixxer 155 which is known as the successful motorcycle in the 150cc range. It is also believed that the new Gixxer will share some design cues with 155cc version. While, it is expected to lock its horns with a Mahindra's Mojo (upcoming) and KTM 200 Duke.

Mechanically, Suzuki Gixxer 250 will be equipped with an Indian manufactured single-cylinder 250cc engine which is rated to deliver power between 24Bhp-29 Bhp. It will be paired to 6-speed transmission. The braking system will include disc brakes at front and rear end, while the suspension duties will be handled by telescopic forks at front and monoshock suspension at rear. It will definitely offer quality ride due to its comfortable riding posture.

Design wise, Gixxer 250 will host some changes related to dimensions and body design. These are the factors which make it slightly different from Gixxer 155. Regarding the availability and price there is no information yet. But, it is expected to be priced at INR 1,50,000 (ex-showroom).
