Piaggio Planning to Launch Vespa GTS 300 In India

Piaggio is planning to launch a new scooter, 'Vespa GTS 300' in the Indian market, as they have showcased it at the 2015 Indian Bike Week with coming soon tag. From the last few years, Vespa has again established its name in India. The retro styling  and bright colors are the main reason behind its succcess. The Vespa GTS 300 also follow the same design philosophy of other Vespas to attract the masses of India. The other Vespa scooters selling in India are Vespa, Vespa VX, Vespa S and Vespa Elegante.

Feature wise, the GTS 300 comes equipped with a 278cc single cylinder, 4-stroke quasar engine which is rated to deliver 21.1BHp of power at 7500 rpm and 22.3Nm of torque at 5250 rpm. The fuel in this scooter is injected through port and it has liquid cooling function. Moreover, this scooter comes with an electric start feature. It rides on 120/70/12 tyre at front and 130/70/12 rear tyre with stopping power provided by a disc brakes at both end.

For the safety, company has added two-channel ABS system and traction control. The suspension duties of the scooter are handled by single-arm, dual-chamber hydraulic shock absorber at front and two dual effect shock absorbers at the rear end. It can reach to a top speed of 128km/hr and it is rated to deliver fuel efficiency of 29.76km/l. Regarding the price of Vespa GTS 300, company hasn't word yet. But, it is expected to be priced between 2lakh to 2.5 lakh.

Let'see, how many customers this scooter will grab in future. Its high price is expected to become a big hindrance in its sale.
