Mahindra To Unveil 125cc Scooter Based On Gusto

Mahindra who unveiled their 110cc scooter Gusto, is now planning to launch an all-new 125cc scooter. The company has already started working on this new project. This new vehicle has totally upgraded body panels. This forthcoming model will support all special features from the Gusto like seat height adjustment, follow-me lamps and flip-key.

The Mahindra Gusto is powered by a 110cc motor which the Mahindra named M-TEC which is made of aluminium. The single-cylinder, air-cooled motor in the vehicle releases maximum power of 8 Bhp @ 7500 rpm and has a torque value of 9 Nm @ 5500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The company has priced the Gusto at INR 43,000 for the DX variant and INR 47,000 for the VX version (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Coming to the measurements, it holds a length of 1825mm, a width of 697mm and a height of 1188mm along with a ground clearance of 165mm. It's seat height is 770/735 mm and has a wheelbase of 1275 mm. It carries a kerb weight of 120 kg. It's fuel tank capacity is 6 litres and provides a top speed of 85 kmph. It's braking system comprises of 130mm drum brakes on its both wheels. It has alloy wheels and the front and rear It is available in 4 color options such as Iceberg White, Volcanic Red, Galactic Black  and Magnetic Magenta.

Considering that this upcoming scooter is heating up in the Indian autos market with the likes of Suzuki Access, Honda Activa 125 and Swish 125, its time company is entering the segment with an exclusive offering unlike its other scooters which failed to dazzle as they could not take on their Japanese competitors.
