Recall Announced for Honda CBR150R & CBR250R

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, announced a recall for its CBR series motorcycles, Honda CBR150 and CBR250. Its process will begin in the midst of August, 2015. The motorcycle manufactured between 2014 July to 2015 June will be checked for the replacement only. The main reason behind this recall is 'starter relay' as the company head office has been reported with few incidents related to this problem. The company claims that it might be caused because of wrong application of the sealant during assembly of the starter relay.

Though, in India, this recall is just a part of precautionary step to check any kind of fault in Indian models and if detected it will be replaced by company free of cost irrespective of warranty. As of now, no such issues have been reported to Indian subsidiary of Honda yet. But, soon the HMSI will check all its models and get assured about Indian models. On the recall, Honda officials stated that, "With this move, Honda globally reinforces its commitment to providing highest quality products and customer satisfaction," "Honda two-wheeler plans to send out proactive communication to the identified customers and shall undertake work ensuring no inconvenience."

In addition to this, the company is also expected to launch 2015 model of the same motorcycle, CBR150R and CBR250R. These bikes will be introduced at the RevFest 2015. The up gradation will only be cosmetic though with new graphics or some changes in headlights. As company hasn't revealed much about these up-gradations yet, we can't say anything with surety.
