2014 Hero Karizma ZMR and R Launched in India

Hero Motocorp has launched the 2014, Hero Karizma ZMR and Karizma R in the Indian market. Both these bikes comes with an aesthetic as well as some mechanical changes in it. The company has revealed these bikes in the 2014 Auto Expo held in February. Both these bikes are reached to the selected dealerships and there booking has already begun with the booking amount of Rs. 14000. The delivery of the bikes will take a time period of  8-10 working days.

Exterior of both the bikes have received a subtle tweaks. Both the bikes now houses twin headlamp, split seats, new muffler, clip on handlebars and semi-digital instrument cluster with side stand and service indicator. Under the hood, Hero Karizma R packs a 223cc, single cylinder, air cooled 4-stroke engine that also does duty in its predecessor. But it produces more power of 19.2PS and torque of 19.35Nm as compare to 17.2PS and 18.35Nm.

Talking about Karizma ZMR, it also share its engine specs with Karizma R but it generates 20PS of power and 19.7Nm of torque which is quite higher than the previous model that churned out 17.8PS and 18.35Nm. One another difference in R and ZMR is, ZMR gets a fuel injection while R has a carburetor.

The ex-showroom Pune price of Karizma R is Rs. 83,200 and Karizma ZMR is available for Rs. 1.05,000. While the on-road price in New Delhi for Karizma R is Rs. 91320 and Hero Karizma ZMR is Rs. 1.14,210. Considering the effective changes made by company in these sporty bikes, it seems that, it will surely give tough competition to the considerably successful bikes like Yamaha YZF-R15, Honda CBR150R and Bajaj Pulsar 220F.
