Bajaj Pulsar RS200 Finally Launched in India at INR 1.18 lakh

Bajaj has finally launched the most anticipated motorcycle, 'Pulsar RS 200' in India for INR. 1.18 Lakhs (non-ABS model). The teaser of this racer bike was shown on the company's official Facebook page this month. The company took long time to groom this bike and to make it perfect from all the angles. RS in the name stands for 'Race Sport'. Booking of this motorcycle has already begun in the country with a booking amount of Rs.5000 and company has also started its shipping to meet the demands. But for the beginning, it will be available only selected dealers listed on its official page.

The company has launched two variants of Pulsar RS200 - ABS and non-ABS. The ABS version is priced for INR. 1.30 lakh. In the big range of pulsar, RS 200 is seen as the fastest and first fully faired motorcycle. The success story of the Pulsar bike is not new to anyone and company is expecting same from this sports bike. Putting light on its features, it gets a sharp front with twin projector headlights, LED pilot lamps, midship exhaust, see through visor, nitrox monoshock suspension at the rear and analog-digital instrument console. Apart from this, RS 200 features an aggressive look that make it stand out in a crowd. Mechanically, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 comes equipped with a single cylinder, liquid-cooled 199.5cc engine which produces a maximum power of 24.2 BHP at 9750 rpm and maximum torque of 18.6 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to the same 6-speed transmission, which is also doing duty in the Pulsar 200NS.

On the launch event, the president of Bajaj Motorcycle Business, Eric Vas stated that "The Sports segment in India is poised for rapid growth driven by evolving customer preferences. There is a large number consumers who expect true track performance from their bikes. The new Pulsar RS 200 now enters the Super Sports segment with aerodynamically tested fairings, superior chassis and engine technology to deliver adrenaline pumping performance be it on tracks or real roads."
