Bajaj all-set to Double the Production of Pulsar RS200

Bajaj officials have proudly reported that its fully faired 200cc motorcycle, Pulsar RS200 is receiving overwhelming response in the Indian market. And now to meet the rising demands, they are going to double the production of this bike. The production unit will increase by 2300 which means, till now company was manufacturing 1700 units per month and now on it will rise to 4000 units per month. However, this action will actually come in progress by August 2015.  

Notably, the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 was launched in March, 2015 and it was the most awaited motorcycle in the market that time. It was launched with a price tag of INR 1.18 lakh and 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi price). It is available in two trim, Standard and ABS. The main rivals of this motorcycle in the market are Yamaha R15, Honda CBR 150 and Honda CBR 250.

Talking about engine spec, it is powered by 199.5cc single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also supports fuel-injection system. It generates a maximum power of 24.2 Bhp at 9750 rpm and 18.6Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. It is mated to 6-speed transmission.

The Bajaj official, Eric Vas, President of Bajaj Auto Ltd (Motorcycle business) said, "The market response to RS200 has been really good. Currently the bike is available in 56 cities but we have not been able to expand beyond because of capacity constraints,".
