Currently i bought a Duke 200 BS6 2 weeks ago and its a good decision to buy. I am driving between 55 and 65 and getting a mileage of 40.1 km/l currently which is a good one in this segment. The headlight visibility is good. Initial acceleration is also good. I recommend for Duke 200 and above version to use premium petrol as the compression rate is 11.3. Overall experience, I am totally satisfied with the bike. As on the cons side the ground clearance is really now especially when you are carrying an pillion rider, there is an high chance of hitting the lower part in the bumper.

Best Features: Dual Channel ABS, DRL

Pros: Looks, Acceleration and Mileage

Cons: Ground Clearance

This review is based on personal experience. KTM Duke 200 is One of the worst bikes when it comes to maintenance. I feel I have spent the same amount on petrol and maintenance. For 15,000km Petrol = 36,000 (bike mileage 30km/LTR) Petrol price - 75 (AVG) Maintenance Service = 3 times x 3500 = 10500 (min) Fork oil seal replacement= 2500 Starter motor stator coil replacement =3500 Chain sprocket replacement= 3500 Oil seal replacement = 1500 Start on button replacement = 1200 Fuel sensor replacement= 1000 Clutch wire replacement = 200 Chain lubrication For every 500kms = 100 I.e for 15,000kms = 3000 Seat cover (because seat started cracking) = 800 Both tires = 7000 Total = 34,700 I can even show bill for all the things I have mentioned above. Bike is not designed for Indian roads. It's just an overpriced low quality bike.

The new exhaust is not my type of choice as it looks really odd. Underbelly was the best unit ever.

The bike has Got everything a rider wants. You can take it for touring and as well as for daily commute. The bike has so much power stored in it. Everyone is seeing its competition with ninja 300 and Yamaha r3 but if you see there prices are nearly double of it and they are twin cylinder bikes and this one is single cylinder bike . The heating problem is due to the single cylinder as the bike has too powerful engine with single cylinder but if you see the performance than this bike has got way too much than its rivals. If you want sporty looks with abs safety and high performance this one is for you.

Best Features: Console, Ride by Wire.

Pros: Ride By Wire, Abs , Brakes, Console, Looks, Build Quality, Power, and everything

Cons: Heating Problem and Mileage

KTM has built a good bike, but it's too aggressive look and can't hold more interest for long time. Good bike for superbike beginners

Best Features: TFT display, led headlamp, orange color, look, sound,

Pros: Value for money, power, pickup, design, metzler tyres

Cons: Seat height, not comfortable, low fuel tank, poor customer service (not all the places).

Had waited long, but ultimately had launched in India !! By going what's in the paper, it seems like it won't fall short in performance and will be a good investment!! Also not to mention, the waiting period for the Duke 390 is too bit longer as that of Duke 250 & 200,which will be available from 8th of March.

Best Features: TFT info screen, Slipper Clutch, Ride By Wire, LED Headlamps, Adjustable suspension arms !!

Pros: Overhauling design from the previous generation Duke 390. Looks will remain appealing for the coming 4 to 5 years.

Cons: The waiting period of the Duke 390 is more then 1 month after booking too. Price increases in different states, so have to go deep into pockets!!

I ride this 300 cc monster each and every day in my life since I bought it, just local errands about 40 to 50 kms everyday, even though everyone talks about the riding posture and all that, for a person height above 6 feet and above... It's gonna be the most perfect bike for you. Even though it takes your energy, due to its race posture, you gotta learn how to hold the belly of the bike and ride, that way it becomes easy. As the cons I mentioned: little tank, vibration due to less engine refinement, flat seat, no slipper clutch (in 2014 models). It's the bike for anyone and everyone to ride and learn before you proceed to higher capacity vehicles, so that you know how to control your mind speed, and to ride responsibly. This is true, applause to KTM for bringing such an awesome bike as this to India.

Best Features: Strong motor, even though it's a single 373cc cylinder, you gotta ride one of these.

Pros: Performance, riding posture for those track days, informative digital console.

Cons: Riding posture in terms of versatility or DAILY use. Vibs like hell, you can even say it's a sporty royal Enfield. FUEL tank: I gotta full my tank every 2 days, just gets boring

Bike is good looking, great handling bike, because of its light weight easy to manure in traffic. - Performance: Good 25 bhp power output. Normally power output is more at high rpm's, when you reach high rpm's at lowers gears. Due to low gear ratio, bike tend to take little time to get max speed at 6th gear. but for a 200cc bike, power output is considerably great. - Handling: Great handling. MRF tires have good grip. Good for corners and normal speeds. - Braking: Brakes are good. ABS option could have been better. Tires tend to lock at high speed braking. MRF's work good while slow speed breaking. Brake calipers make sounds when dust accumulates. A good water spray on brakes can eliminate the sound sometimes.. - Comfort: Optimum as seat is more hard. But you will get adjusted to it over time. Pillion riders will not be happy with the rear seat. Ride quality is stiffer. Good for city and highway rides. Suspension: Rear mono-shock can be adjusted slightly. Front WP suspension works good. - Fuel capacity- Well tank is small compared to other bikes. only 11 lts capacity. With efficiency of 30-35kmpl. Good optimum efficiency. - Seat height: Good for people taller than 5.6ft. But I have seen people shorter also riding comfortably. - Bike is good overall. With optimum fuel efficiency. Just be noted at the time of hard breaking, due to lack of ABS, light weight and tires lock, controlling the bike might be a night mare sometimes. - Suspension should have been more efficient, not good for people who weigh more and ride as a pillion rider. Cooling system could have been more efficient, but over heating can be avoided by changing the gears at correct rpm's. Not revving the bike too high. - Also more appreciated if the plastic used of good quality.

Best Features: Sporty, gear indicator, temperature meter, distance to empty indicator, time.

Pros: Bike has great street look, light weight, good power band.

Cons: Poor finish with switches and plastic parts.

The KTM Duke 200 is a light weight naked sports bike. Last year, I bought the KTM Duke 200. It is best in class and offers good mileage. Its light weight makes it easy to ride and handle as it is easily driven in any situation. The fuel tank is small. A slightly bigger fuel tank would have been appreciated. The pillion seat is not comfortable for short and long rides.

Best Features: Light Weight

Pros: Acceleration, Handling, Brakes

Cons: Pillion Seat uncomfortable, Seat Height, Small Fuel Tank

The KTM 390 Duke is a wonderful bike. It delivers an awesome riding experience and it takes no time at going higher speeds. The handling is quite good but it takes me some time to get used to it. On the clear roads there are no any engine issues but in the case of traffic jam, it heats up pretty quick. One more thing which goes against the bike is its horn and headlight. I would recommend to change the headlights and increase the horn intensity so that you stay safe.

Best Features: Ease in Handling and Looks

Pros: Appearance, Easy gear shifting, Handling

Cons: Weak horn & headlights, Lack of storage for kit/papers, Engine heating
