USER OPINION

This is my first bike after through reviewing all bikes. Styling is good and one could easily relate to the CX-01 concept from Honda. Power and mid range torque is good but slightly lesser than Gixxer. Wider seat and it is comfortable for pillion. Braking is very good with the petal discs. Around 1500 kms has been over in my bike. Highway driving is excellent. Suspension is not a problem. It's better to go slow on the bad roads. Mileage is above 45kmpl for a normal city ride.

Best Features: Muscular tank, Raised handle bar, wider tyres

Pros: Good styling, better mileage, comfortable ride quality

Cons: Engine Kill switch, Average lighting

Today I completed1050 Km in 1 week, 1st service done. The best in class vehicle. I previously owned a CBZ 2012 model, that was also good. But for a change I test drive all 3 Naked best 150 CC bikes (FZ, GIXXER, And the STAR HORNET). The last 1 i drive was hornet. Between fz and Gixxer i was planning for FZ. But after hornet, There is no need to research more. The sales person gave me a test drive of both the versions but i planned for standard 1, bcoz i have a average of 80 KM run per day. Before 1st service the pick up was a bit low, But honestly i even did not tried 2 push it coz the service guys instructed me 2 do so.. But after 1st service it runs like a king, Till 100 kmph very smoothly.. No vibrations at all. And the best part is full economy is around 55 KMPL.. In short - BEST IN THIS CLASS, ULTIMATE MILAGE, DECENT LOOKS, COMFORT AND BEST PERFORMANCE..

Best Features: Mileage, Looks, Tail Light

Pros: BRAKING, SMOOTHNESS, DECENT POWER

Cons: ENGINE KILL SWITCH

Well, this bike is a mature premium 160cc bike from HMSI. I say mature because it has some features that really matters. It has class leading brake along with performance. Though, it loose points in "in gear acceleration" against Gixxer only by a negligible difference. It has good pillion seat than its competitor. It looks good. Stability and handling is superb. I'm surprised by its braking performance. I'm having 56 kmpl mileage which is also good in this class. Suspension is not at all stiff as mentioned in some test ride reviews. I feel its suspension setup is tuned at its best. Highway stability is also very very good. Headlight should be DC and with better reflector or with 55W/60W bulb as it is not bright enough. In a whole, I'm very very happy to upgrade to this bike.

Best Features: CBS, Dual disc, 3 pot front caliper, Wide tyres, X shaped tail light

Pros: Performance, Stability, Braking, Mileage, Pick up, Pillion Seat, Suspension, Ergonomics, Looks

Cons: Low Headlight Luminance, No Engine Kill Switch, AC Electrical

I have three bikes with me Gixxer, Hornet, and FZ. Out of all these bikes I like Hornet, its best thing is smooth ride, looks are se*y and yeah the suspension is bit stiff but can be adjusted. And yeah Honda should have provided that engine kill switch . And now Mr Rahul I appreciate that you don't like the hornet but first drive it then say anything the build quality is at a par not like a Gixxer making sound of the plastic on small bumps n all have a great day

Best Features: Pick-up, ride comfortable, looks fu*k yeah

Pros: Good bike at this range, handles like a dream

Cons: Suspension is bit stiff

I don’t understand w*f Mr. Dinesh Singh wants 2 convey..!! He just meant d difference btw Gixxer n Hornet is only an engine kill switch. N talking abt d refinement... lol:-) Gixxer is ultimate in terms of handling and refinement. With its large dynamic forks, wider tires and styling exhaust. Gixxer means it all. It has d appeal of street fighter whereas hornet has d same f*kng old look of uncles just similar to d other vehicles in Honda. D fact is what we have is best 4 us.. but not true..!! Even though the bhp n torque can be find higher in Hornet, Gixxer throws it away. Moreover mileage is more in Gixxer.

Best Features: No similar features

Pros: Technology

Cons: Basic chidish buttons, cheap quality materials used overall

Got this bike on December 23rd 2015. Completed 500km now. I test rode & compared Gixxer and FZ V2 before buying this bike. And I should say this is the best among all the three. It has got nice performance, best braking among the three and the seats are large and comfortable enough for both rider and pillion compared to Gixxer and FZ. Even though the switchgear is very basic, they are very user friendly and the switches are well positioned. The clutch and gearbox are very smooth and suits both cities and highways. But sometimes false neutral falls between the 1st and 2nd gears which is a little disturbing while riding in city traffic. It does well in corners too. Now the engine is tuned to give maximum efficiency if driven in the 60km/h ranges. Till 5000rpm, the engine is so smooth and feels like u r flowing through the road. Past 5000rpm is where the real power is pumped in and you should experience it to understand what i mean. Overall it is a value for money product.

Best Features: Looks and the rear disk brake

Pros: Stunning looks, mileage, excellent braking, redine engine, light clutch, gear

Cons: Suspension and seat is slightly stiff, sometimes false neutral between 1st and 2nd gears during quick shifting

See guys Gixxer is different in concept and hornet is different. Fact is this Gixxer will give u a engine kill switch but it will not give u a refined engine so I will suggest you to go there and take a test drive then you will get to know why hornet is better. Honda believes in better economy and good engine quality

Best Features: CBS system

Pros: Style and milage

Cons: Little expensive

Pros: Look, handling, comfort

Cons: Absence of engine kill swith & bit higher price tag

Honda should consider reviewing its prices. The products are priced on the higher end but the quality speaks something else. They have launched CB Hornet 160R with price tag of 80,000 (ex-showroom) and decided not to offer rear disc brake. The switches have been borrowed straight from low end bikes such as Dream Yuga, CB Shine. They haven't introduced engine kill switch. Its rivals Apache RTR 160, Gixxer, FZ boast good quality switches and look better in its comparison. One can buy Apache RTR 160 with both front and rear disc at around 81,000 to 82,000 on road in Delhi NCR. Gixxer is good looking and the digital meter also shows in which gear you are riding. It has got more power than CB Hornet 160R.

Best Features: Nothing if compared to other products

Pros: The stance, muscular tank, headlight

Cons: Price, cheap quality switches, no engine kill switch
