What are the Expected Technical Specifications of Honda CB Hornet 160R?

The Honda CB Hornet 160R is a naked compact sportsbike which is expected to be launched in festive season i.e. September – November, 2015. It is estimated to be priced around INR 80,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will compete with fighters like Yamaha FZ-16 and Suzuki Gixxer which are truly marvellous in their own ways. Honda will launch this Streetfighter in a single variant and there is no information regarding its shades yet.

As far as looks are concerned, it follows the concept of CX-01 which was showcased in 2014 Auto Expo. Its overall styling is aggressive, sharp and has a very young appeal. Powering the bike will be a 162.71 cc, single cylinder engine which is the same unit present in the Honda CB Unicorn. The engine would be expected to launch with HET (Honda Eco Technology) and will maintain a nice balance between economy, power and style. Honda CB Hornet 160R is expected to release 14.5 BHP @ 8000 rpm of maximum power and churns out torque value of 14.61 NM @ 6000 rpm. It would be mated with 5-speed gearbox lie Unicorn and as per company there will be no changes in gear ratios also.

The Honda CB Hornet 160R comes with two disc brakes, one for the front and the other for the rear. The suspension at the front is telescopic forks whereas the rear holds a monoshock suspension. The bore and stroke figures of engine measures 57.3x63mm respectively. The front and rear tyre size is 17 inches. Overall it is a nice bike which would surely prove its excellence in autos market.
