Honda CBR250R vs Honda CBR150R

With the launch of Honda CBR150R Honda 2wheelars has gifted the Indian customers with an affordable CBR series mini sports bike. Until now Honda has targeted only the wealthy customers with CBR250R. Both CBR250R and Honda CBR150R use same liquid cool, 4 stroke SI engine except the displacement. The Honda CBR250R has 249.6cc while Honda CBR150R has 149.4cc. The power generated by CBR250R is 25bhp at 8500 rpm with a peak torque of 22.9Nm at 7000 rpm. CBR150R produces 17.57 bhp at 10500 rpm and 16 Nm of peak torque at 8500 rpm.

CBR250R is equipped with telescopic fork front suspension and pro link rear suspension in comparison to CBR150R has tube type one side operation up at front and tube type both side operation down rear suspension. CBR250R rides on 110/70 ×17 tyre at the front with 296mm disc and 140/70 × 17 tyre down at rear with 220mm disc brake. CBR150R has 100/80-17 tyre up front with 276mm disc and 130/70-17tyre down rear with 220mm disc brake.

CBR250R does a 0-60 kmph sprint in just 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 144kmph on other side CBR150R does it in 5 seconds and has a top speed of 120kmph. There isn’t much difference in the appearance of both these bikes. The CBR250R stands at 2032 x 720 x 1127mm with the ground clearance of 145mm and CBR150R has 2000 x 825 x 1120mm with ground clearance of 190mm.  Also both these bike supports a fuel tank of capacity 13 liters. The standard variant of CBR250R is available at INR 148868 and CBR150R at INR 119131(both ex-showroom Delhi).
