Bajaj Pulsar 150 vs Bajaj Pulsar 180?

Both the Pulsar 150cc and 180cc are based on the same DTS-i technology that is Digital Twin Spark Ignition technology which is a trademark of Bajaj Auto. Pulsar 150 is powered by 149.1cc air cooled DTS-i engine that generates 14.9 bhp max power at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 12.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. On the other hand the big brother Pulsar 180 rides on 178.6cc air cooled DTS-i engine. It outputs 16.8 bhp power at 8500 rpm with 14.2 Nm of peak torque at 6500 rpm. Both these bikes are hooked to a 5-speed manual gearbox with 1 down and 4 up side gear pattern.

Pulsar 150 has a top speed of 115 kmph and it sprints from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.60 seconds. While Pulsar 180 with top speed mark of 120 kmph crosses the 60 kmph mark in just 4.9 seconds. Both the Pulsar's are equipped with same 130mm drum brake at rear wheel but for front wheel Pulsar 150 has 240mm disc and Pulsar 180 has 260mm disc brake. Pulsar 150cc rides on 17" black alloys wheels with 90/90mm front and 100/90 rear wheel size. The Pulsar 180cc have 17" 6-Spoke alloys wheels with 90/90mm front and 120/80 rear wheel size.

Dimension wise both these bikes are almost same with Pulsar 150 has 2055 x 755 x 1170mm and Pulsar 180 has 2035 x 765 x 1165mm as length x width x height respectively. With kerb weight of 143 kg Bajaj Pulsar 150 has a wheelbase of 1320mm and ground clearance of 165mm. On the other hand Pulsar 180 also possess almost same figures with 147 Kg kerb weight, wheelbase of 1350mm and ground clearance of 150mm.
