| Yamaha SZX was an entry level model in the SZ series, last retailing for a price tag of INR 54,500. It used the same engine as the FZ16, producing 12 BHP at 7500 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 4500 rpm. The 153 cc, single cylinder engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Yamaha claimed a top speed of 105 kmph for the motorcycle. SZ-X was equipped with drum brakes on both the ends while its styling was exactly the same as SZ-R being sold in its first generation.
