Design and Style

RSV4 R has an extremely bulky as well as sporty appearance. The bike looks picture perfect from every angle. Its exposed frame and black colored engine gels well with its side faring which also features an integrated engine cowl. The bike features its name on both sides of its fairing which gives it a unique identity. Its elegantly designed fuel tank merges nicely into its long rider seat which sits on the top of its up-swept and edgy rear cowl. This cowl sports stylish LED tail light in it while its pointed rear fender carries its clear lens indicators, reflective light and number plate. This tall positioned rear cowl, extended fender and extremely fatty rear tyre makes this bike look V-shaped when seen from the back. Its integrated, black finished twin silencers give macho look this bike. The multi-spoke alloy wheel design also differentiates this bike from others. The bike looks best when seen from the front. Its V-shaped front cowl and visor forms the attacking face of RSV4. Aprilia has placed three headlights in this bike which makes it look majestic. The black colored rear view mirrors of RSV4 come integrated with LED side indicators. These mirrors are placed on the front cowl of this bike. Its nasty front forks, disc plate and front tyre gives wide stance to this bike.

Instrument Console

Aprilia RSV4 R has a modern combined analogue-digital instrument console. This instrument console features many essential LED indicators in it. The bike features a circular dial with black background for its analogue tachometer which has an illuminating needle. The LCD displays its digital speedometer, odometer, 2-tripmeter, lap timer, clock and fuel gauge. This LCD uses orange color for illumination at night.

Engine and Gearbox

Aprilia RSV4 R uses company’s first ever four cylinder V4 engine. It’s a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, 16 valve 999cc engine which generates a maximum power output of 180 bhp at 12250 rpm. The maximum torque production of this DOHC engine is of 115 Nm which arrives at 10000 rpm. RSV4 R is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox with one gear down and five gears up-shift pattern.

Acceleration and Performance

Its light weight helps this bike to get a magnificent power to weigh ratio. This engine is famous for its lightning fast performance. The bike reaches 0-100km/hr in less than 3.5 seconds. The flared edges of this fuel tank have been designed to give you firm grip. Road visibility is quite clear but you may complain about the placement of its instrument panel.

Aprilia RSV4 R is equipped with fully adjustable front and rear suspension system. The bike features telescopic forks at its front and aluminium swing arm pivot at the back.
